Beginning in 1973, fourth-generation family members (G4) and their spouses became eligible to join the Norman Foundation as members. By 1984, all sixteen G4 members had been elected as members, laying the groundwork for the fuller leadership transition that would follow when three G4 members joined the Board of Directors in 1979.
